Tiny Home in San Martin
San Martin is just across from the Sirenis resort & Development, three minutes North from Akumal. San Martin is a thriving community with about 40 families living within it.
This Tiny house has a 1,409 SQ MT lot. The lot measures 22 mts front by 63 mts long. The main container is orientated along West to East, and this provides the best location for the solar panels on the rooftop of the double terrace and machine room. The key words here are sustainability and self-sufficiency. The current electric set up produces a surplus of electricity, even when running the air conditioning! Although this tiny home is off the grid, you wont miss any of the urban comforts. A private well supplies the water which is pressurized & filtered for your showering enjoyment. The machine room doubles as a storage room for all the tools you may need, and this has a deck on either side. One faces the doorway entrance and the back one faces the jungle.
The pool is carefree, and you can drain this when traveling away. It will fill in less of a day, directly from your well.
The main container has a small living room, a kitchen with a countertop for two, a full bathroom that houses the washer machine, and the main bedroom with a queen size bed and a mini split air conditioning. There are several choices for the Internet provider, all with good bandwidth and speeds.
The lot is completely fenced, and the driveway has room for up to three vehicles. This tiny house comes key in hand, All furnished & ready for you to move in. Inside the main container, it feels ample enough due to the average building height of 8 feet.
The shaded porch houses a small table where you can host & entertain another couple. Simplicity in design and upkeep is the basis for this whole project. When not in use, just close the container doors and have the jointly shared with the neighbor caretaker take care for the basic needs of your tiny home while you are away.
Living in paradise as an expat, never was this easy and carefree.
